Universe is our beloved Golden Retriever. He will turn 6 years old this year and has been an amazing member of our family. We often refer to him as our first born, however, he definitely was replaced by our first human born 2 years ago. He is amazing with our son, gentle and loving and puts up with a lot of strong hugs, pats, pulling, scratching and pushing. The name Universe came from my wife who is Polish and always liked the way the word Universe sounded. The breeder we got him from told us “that is a lot of pressure” to name him a name like that to which my wife responded “he is a dog.” The photo is awful, has bad lighting, and Universe does not look pleased. However, we do not have too many mirrors in the house were we could make this happen, so we worked with what we had.
